about

This is one of those anthemic beauties that felt like old-school Surreal as soon as we hit the chorus. It feels like U2 during some moments with a bunch of Buffalo Tom in the mix with trademark lyrics that almost make sense but (hopefully) don't leave anyone at the door.

lyrics

The Dreamer's Song

It all comes down to dreaming on the starling
It felt like a heart in disguise
You found a way to balance everything on Broadway
Before the sun would rise
The morning sleep inside so warm
A little baby made to curl the day
The sidewalk slowly disappeared and
The mouth of heaven opened wide

In the dreamer's song
In the dreamer's song
Don't walk away, don't hesitate,
Don't finally leave the world so frightening
In the dreamer's song

It all comes down to seeing what you don't see
A little bit of love on the side
The way to balance is knowing what you can't be
And bringing it along for the ride
The morning sees itself so cold
You, little baby, you're the only way
Go and make the sidewalk reappear and
Burst the heart, you're alive

In the dreamer's song
In the dreamer's song
Don't walk away, don't hesitate,
Don't suddenly leave the world so frightening
In the dreamer's song

In the dreamer's song
In the dreamer's song
Don't walk away, don't hesitate,
Don't suddenly leave the world so frightening
In the dreamer's song
