"OUT is an almost entirely improvisational session of music recorded live on August 5th, 2001 in King's Park, NY. The contents of this disk are textural, sonic journeys excerpted from longer jams fused with injections of Armenian spoken word and one song. Ambient, organic, universal and free, watercats is an elemental approach to sound creation, reinventing the notion of collaboration/collective/quartet. Each player paints his own part of a larger canvas, sometimes subtly stepping back for perspective of a greater whole in front of him."
